Questions people actually ask

Last reviewed
How much is health insurance in Lebanon?
Medical cover starts at $200 per child per year for Essential Care, Class SP. Your quote uses each member’s age and chosen cover.
What does Class A vs B vs SP mean?
The class sets your room and your hospital list — not your surgeon. A is a first-class private room, B a private room, and SP a semi-private room, which is the best value. Each plan is sold at some classes and not others, and the comparison shows only the ones that exist.
Can I pay in installments?
Yes. Your broker agrees a payment schedule for your policy. The invoice shows each amount and due date, and a receipt records each payment received.
Which hospitals are covered?
Every plan runs through the MedNet Liban network, and each one excludes a different set of hospitals — Prime Care excludes none except at Class SP, and Essential Care excludes the most. The comparison lists the exclusions for every plan, and a broker will check a specific hospital for you before you buy.
How do claims work?
Health claims are administered through the MedNet Liban network. Toska does not publish a step-by-step claims procedure here, because the one that matters is the carrier's and the network's — message Mounir and he will take you through it for your policy.
Do pre-existing conditions wait?
Yes. A pre-existing condition waits 12 months for in-hospital treatment, 3 months for out-patient, and 3 months for coronary cover. The waiting periods are the same on every plan.
Is there an age limit?
New cover cannot be taken out above age 65. An existing policy renews past that age, but a first policy cannot start after it — and the quote engine refuses the combination rather than pricing it.
Is renewing cheaper than starting fresh?
No, and on this tariff it is often dearer. The carrier's renewal column costs more than new business in the younger age bands and matches it from the early sixties. Toska does not offer loyalty pricing and will not imply one.
Do I have to give my phone number to see a price?
No. The eight questions ask for ages, class, coverage and network — nothing that identifies you. Your name and number are asked for only when you decide to have the policy issued.
